About Us
Company History:
Somewhere between the icy flanks of Lake Superior and the muddy banks of the Red River, Off the Grind was conceived. Funny that a magazine and Web site about the Northern Rockies and its recreational opportunities could come from two places so...flat. But it is probably our time away from these mountains, rivers and valleys that sparked our initiative to build a media outlet about the region we love and live in. In March of 2006 on a typical snowy, rainy, partly sunny Montana spring day, issue 001 rolled off the presses in Bozeman. Two years later we launched this Web site. The future is a wide open door of opportunity.

To embody the spirit of the true outdoor community and tell its stories through our pages. Our uninhibited relationship with this culture of mountain lovers is what seperates us from the rest and will lead us to success and longevity.

Our print edition is available in Big Sky, Bozeman, Livingston, Helena, Missoula, Prescott, Kalispell and Whitefish.
